Theo Walcott has likened Arsenal new boy Alexandre Lacazette to Jermain Defoe.
Lacazette joined the Gunners earlier this week for a club-record fee of £52.5million.
And Walcott is excited by what Lacazette can do.
“He reminds me a bit of Jermain Defoe in that he sees the target, shoots and scores,” he told the club’s official website.
“That’s what I’ve seen of him in little clips, so hopefully he can bring those attributes to the team.”
Arsenal are reportedly ready to put they foot down and prevent Alexis Sanchez or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joining a title rival.
Manchester City and Bayern Munich have both been touted as possible destinations for the Chilean.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are eyeing a deal for Oxlade-Chamberlain, with Jurgen Klopp eager to add more pace to his flanks.
But according to the Daily Star, Arsenal have no intention of letting Sanchez or Oxlade-Chamberlain leave the club for a direct rival.
Juventus are closing in on a deal for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, according to reports in Italy.
CalcioMercato claim the departure of Juve goalkeeper Neto to Valencia this week has accelerated Szczesny's move to Turin.
Juve have reportedly already agreed personal terms with the Poland international and are currently working on agreeing transfer fee.
The Italian side's initial offer has been turned down but their are hopes the deal could be finalised in the next few days.
Manchester City are closing in on a deal for Alexis Sanchez, with Chilean newspaper El Mercurio claiming the player has told Arsenal he wants to move.
Sanchez has 12 months left on his current contract and is yet to sign an improved offer.
Arsenal are hoping to keep their star man but the report claims City have made a £47m bid.
And Sanchez has informed the Gunners he is ready to quit north London for Pep Guardiola’s City.
Monaco star Thomas Lemar has agreed personal terms with Arsenal, according to the Sun.
The report says the France international has settled on a long term deal worth in the region of £90,000 a week.
However, a deal is still a long way off as Monaco are not keen to lose their star man who is still under contract for a further three years.
The French giants are reportedly demanding £80million for the winger they picked up from Caen for just £4m two years ago.

Mesut Ozil has claimed is looking forward to playing alongside new Arsenal signing Alexandre Lacazette this season.
"I’m really looking forward to it," the Germany international said.
"He's a very good striker who has scored many goals in Ligue 1, not just this season but in previous seasons too. We’re really happy to have such a class striker here with us.
"From what I’ve heard, he’s meant to be very good, always hungry for goals and ice-cold when he gets into a scoring position."
Marseille are in pole position to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, according to the Telegraph.
Giroud has been tipped to leave the Gunners this summer with Everton, West Ham and Lyon all linked.
However, the Telegraph claim Marseille are now the frontrunners for the 30-year-old's signature.
And Giroud admitted last month he could be tempted into joining the Ligue 1 side.
"I am not insensitive to the approaches of the French clubs, especially that of a legendary club like Marseille," he said.
Arsenal are interested in Monaco star and Manchester United target Fabinho.
The defender has been linked with a move to the Red Devils in recent months but they have not advanced their interest.
And France Football claim Arsenal are monitoring his situation and considering pipping their rivals to his signature.
